On the covers of the book, you can see Waya. The Cherokee girl`s name means Wolf she got her name after her best friend. I used pyrography first, to burn the design into the plywood sheet, then painted it.
The pages are hand dyed, I used waxed thread and applied coptic technique for binding. This technique gives a natural look to the book, lets the pages open flat, while still provides a firm and safe bound. The wood is sealed with protective matte spray.
You can draw and paint in the book, write your thoughts, collect leaves and flowers, poems, quotes, recipes, creative ideas, or you can use it as meditation or mantra journal.
